My Story
I’ve spent 10+ years building and leading Trust and Safety teams and strategy. I started in the field after graduating from UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business and have since worked for start-ups with less than 50 employees and Fortune 500 companies operating on 6 continents.
Across my career, I’ve prioritized creating real impact for people, including:
Forging ~50 global, multi-million dollar partnerships to improve user safety
Launching industry-first safety features like consumer background checks
Developing educational assets for 1M+ users to drive safer interactions
Hosting award-winning industry events for executives to collaborate on safety
Creating a first-of-its-kind open-source safety incident taxonomy
Preparing companies to comply with safety and transparency reporting regulations like the Digital Service Act and Online Safety Bill
After seeing common needs and opportunities across industries, I decided to create my own consulting practice to advise more tech companies on safety best practices.
When I’m not focused on Trust and Safety corporate strategy, I like to surf, ski, scuba dive, travel, and do just about any activity that would scare my mom (sorry mom!)

Past Impact
-
Uber's First Transparency Report
During my time at Uber, my team and I partnered with experts to create the data infrastructure to publish Uber’s first Transparency Report and answer the question, “How safe is Uber really?” with hard data. This laid the foundation for a more data-driven Trust and Safety strategy and stronger safety commitments for users.
-
New Safety Features in Online Dating
When working in the online dating space, my team and I focused on creating safe and inclusive spaces online and in real life. We helped pioneer several industry firsts for online dating like consumer background checks, education models for harassment, and partnerships with leading third-party expert groups.
-
Women's Safety Strategy at Uber
While working at Uber, my team and I improved the safety of women and marginalized communities by prioritizing their experiences inside and outside the company. By partnering with more than 30 expert organizations globally, we created a comprehensive strategy to educate users, empower and care for employees, and build a safer platform.
-
Uniting an Industry for Safety
People’s safety should be a company’s core competency, not a competitive advantage. While at Uber, my team and I brought executives and leaders across the travel, transportation, and tech industries together to foster discussions on safety best practices, resources, and research to better serve women and marginalized communities.
